Story · 私のこと
A local who knows where the tourists don't go.
I've lived in Yamanashi most of my life. I know which local restaurants the tourists never find, which shrines feel genuinely sacred rather than just photogenic, and which hidden spots are worth going out of your way for. That kind of knowledge takes years — and it's exactly what most travel guides don't have.
I spent several years living abroad, which taught me how to see a place through a visitor's eyes. When I returned to Japan, I started looking at Yamanashi differently — not just as home, but as somewhere worth showing to the world.
Everything on this site is based on personal experience. I visit every place myself, talk to the people who run them, and only write about what I'd genuinely recommend to someone I care about. No sponsored content, no copy-paste from tourist pamphlets.
Yamanashi is one of Japan's most rewarding prefectures for independent travelers — if you know where to look. This site is here to help you find it.

Writing & guide work
I'm available for travel writing, location research, and guide work in Yamanashi and the surrounding region. If you're a business or organization looking to share what makes this area worth visiting, feel free to get in touch.
I'm also building toward offering small-group guided experiences in Yamanashi — the quiet places, the local food, the stories behind the landscape. If that interests you, I'd love to hear from you.
